Aloha, and Welcome to our web site

The Friends of Kewalo Basin Park Association was formed in 2005 in response to the growing issues that affect Kewalo Basin Park and the people who use it. We are a grass roots organization made up of surfers, fishermen and women, divers, swimmers, walkers, joggers, and general Kewalo Basin Park users from all walks of life. Many of us have been recreating in this area for many years and fully appreciate the ocean, surrounding park, the Kakaako area, and friends we have made along the way.  Friends will address issues that affect park users through the appropriate state agency channels. We will keep Friends members informed on current issues and concerns, news updates, and Park related events through this web site. If you would like to join our organization, please click on the membership sign-up page located on the menu.

Our Mission :

Our mission is to protect Kewalo Basin Park , and its surrounding areas and waters to ensure recreational users will continue to have access and the ability to enjoy the park for future generations to come.
